主講人介紹｜Koki Kuroiwa

Graduated at the top of the class from the Piano Department of the Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts. Completed the master’s program at the same university and pursued further studies at the Liszt Academy of Music.

A semifinalist and recipient of a special award in the Piano Division of the 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition. First prize winner in the Piano Division of the 84th Music Competition of Japan. Also awarded first prize and the Audience Prize in the Piano Division of the 11th Tokyo Music Competition. First prize winner of the KIPA International Piano Competition 2019. Recipient of the Aoyama Music Award for New Artists, the Utsunomiya Espoir Award, and the Matsukata Hall Music Award.

Following the release of the first CD, Sailing Day, the second CD, Pictures at an Exhibition, was selected as a “Special Selection” by Record Geijutsu magazine. In 2024, the third CD, Brahms: Piano Works, was released to critical acclaim in newspapers and music magazines.

Formerly served as a lecturer in the Piano Department at Tokyo University of the Arts and is currently a lecturer in the Music Department at Kai Seika High School and at CJM Jingū no Mori Music Academy.
